The influence of philosophy, sociology and psychology are examined to understand their impact on education in today's world. This degree does not lead to teacher certification but focuses on a scholarly examination of learning and learning environments in P-12 classrooms as well as informal educational settings. This major is also appropriate for individuals interested in pursuing a double major in a related field.
