Graphic designers create innovative ways to communicate through visuals. Logos, illustrations, cartoons and advertisements -- they're all the products of a successful graphic designer.

Students studying Graphic Design at Webster University learn the history and theories of graphic design; product and technical design skills; better drawing abilities; computer fluency; and gain practical experience.

The Digital Arts Design Arts (DADA) Studio is equipped with 15 dual-monitor Apple G5 workstations, a pair of large format inkjet printers and the latest computer software.

The B.F.A. with an emphasis in Graphic Design is a professional degree format that blends practical and theoretical coursework. The program of study requires a high level of accomplishment for continuation in the program.

Students are required to attain a grade of B in any class in the Graphic Design area prior to progressing to the next. Although the total number of credit hours remains consistent with other programs, it traditionally takes transfer students an additional year to complete the Graphic Design program.

If you plan on majoring in art, dance, music, or theatre, you must complete a portfolio review or audition as part of your application to Webster.
