Popular opportunities for Webster's Political Science students include study abroad at our European campuses, where you can study near the seat of international law in the Netherlands, at the home of the United Nations and International Red Cross in Geneva, or in historic Vienna.
With many classes held in the historic H. Sam Priest Center, you will find a shared sense of scholarship and community with your peers majoring in History, Political Science, or International Relations.
Professional Opportunities
The History, Politics, and IR Department offers a diverse curriculum that combines tradition and innovation. The department is loyal to the concept of a traditional liberal arts education, and at the same time believes that a student's academic program should be preparation for a productive professional career.

Emphasis in Public Law
As part of the Political Science degree, you may also earn an Emphasis in Public Law, which prepares your to examine the judiciary and legal system in the context of broader political structures and forces, both national and global.

College of Arts & Sciences
Webster University’s College of Arts & Sciences is the intellectual foundation of the University. With undergraduate and graduate programs in areas as diverse as nursing, international languages, and philosophy - to name a few - the College is building a nationally and internationally recognized center of excellence in the arts and sciences.

In a project for the Soldiers’ Memorial Museum in St. Louis, American Studies students researched St. Louis’ role in World War I and designed a display that tells how St. Louisans were transformed by the war.
