A popular building at the hub of the home campus's academic corridor, Webster's five-story, $22-million Emerson Library is always teeming with activity.
Completed in 2003, the state-of-the-art library features the latest in information technology — including multimedia facilities, a reference/electronic commons, an electronic classroom, and a 24-hour cybercafe.
The library also houses a growing collection of more than 200,000 volumes of monographs, rare books, periodicals, videos, and other media, and has seating for more than 700 in a variety of individual and group study spaces.
The library provides a variety of online resources to students at all Webster campuses around the world, including the popular online research system called Passports, which is accessible from campus, home, or office 24 hours a day. The system provides access to the library's online catalog, a Missouri-wide consortium's catalog, and more than 100 online and full-text databases.
