Getting involved in campus life is easy with more than 50 clubs, organizations, and events to choose from.
On-campus events abound, including the popular Webster Film Series, which presents more than 200 movies a year, including free weekend features, classics, midnight films, and major motion picture premieres. An annual Innertube Theatre is also held in the indoor swimming pool, featuring movies such as Jaws and Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Webster is home to many of the Midwest's finest professional performing arts organizations: The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, The Conservatory of Theatre Arts, and Community Music School are all on campus and provide unlimited entertainment options. Students attend the concerts, recitals, plays, art exhibits, and lectures year round.
Support for New Students
Beyond the fun and enrichment of the college experience, Webster University wants to make sure students have every opportunity to find personal and academic success.
Several support programs make sure new students adjust to life in college with ease - whether they live on campus or off. Incoming freshmen can attend weekly mentoring sessions and can seek additional one-on-one counseling.
A Student Success Committee of faculty, staff, and RA's privately reach out to students who may be having trouble adjusting. Members "touch base" with these students and help connect them with counselors or any other possible resource that can help them adjust to college life and other issues that may be going on in their life.
Webster's campus is nestled in the picturesque suburb of Webster Groves, noted for historic Victorian homes, shops and restaurants.
It's also minutes away from St. Louis attractions like historic Forest Park, Saint Louis Zoo, Saint Louis Art Museum, and the U. City Loop's eclectic stores, clubs and restaurants.
Downtown St. Louis offers a variety of acclaimed restaurants, entertainment districts, and professional sports.
