Admission to Webster University is competitive. Applicants will have their application files reviewed individually to ascertain the fit between prior educational accomplishments and established academic expectations at Webster. The University believes that success in prior academic work is the best foundation to ensure academic success at Webster.

Undergraduates must be in school for the traditional school year.  They automatically get summer off.

In addition to your application you need the following to complete your file:

Autobiographical Essay/Resume

Two (2) Recommendation Letters

A Valid Student Visa

Portfolio (for art and art history programs)

Audition (for music, dance or theater programs)


English Proficiency Scores

Webster University accepts a variety of standardized tests that measure English language proficiency.

The most common are TOEFL, IELTS and PEARSON. A student with the following scores has normally met the university's undergraduate English language proficiency requirement:

Academically qualified students who are not yet proficient in English may be conditionally accepted into the University and placed into appropriate English as a Second Language (ESL) courses.

Academic Credentials

For the purposes of admissions and transfer credit, an official document is a document that has been sent directly to Webster from the institution you attended. If you have completed your education in a country that does not issue transcripts, a photcopy of your originals must be verified or attested to by the school you attended.

Autobiographical Essay/Resume

A 300- to 400-word essay on a topic of your choice. You may describe a special interest, experience, or achievement.

Two (2) Recommendation Letters

Two letters of recommendation from teachers and/or employers.

Applying for a Student Visa

For students applying to a U.S. campus, you must submit the Certification of Financial Support with your application documents.
