Transfer students who plan on majoring in art, dance, music, or theatre, must complete a portfolio review or audition as part of their application to Webster. It is recommended that students apply for academic admission before auditioning or doing a portfolio review.
Auditions and portfolio reviews will be held for the following areas:
Art
Dance
Music
Theatre
Please direct any questions to Patricia Gray Baygents, the Audition Coordinator, in Undergraduate Admissions. 1-800-753-6765 or 314-246-4216, or e-mail pbaygents80@webster.edu.
Please note: Voice Performance and Musical Theatre are separate programs. Students should audition for one or the other.
There are several regularly scheduled on-campus audition/review days held throughout the year. In addition to the portfolio reviews and auditions, other activities for students and parents are available. These include: campus tours, an admission/financial aid presentation, class observation, and departmental overviews.
Auditions for design/tech, stage management, or directing majors must be arranged on an individual basis by calling the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 314-968-6991 or 1-800-753-6765.
